The process starts with simply taking a measurement from the center of one post to the next then the diameter of the posts themselves. Next you’ll just need to decide how high you’d like the shade to be above the existing structure and that’s it! We’ll take that information and create a drawing similar the one here.

After that is done we can manufacture the shade in less than 4 weeks and schedule the installation right away so our crew will be ready to put it in as soon as it arrives. The installation should take less than a day. Then you’ll have 10 to 15 years of nice cool shade which will extend the life of your equipment and keep your kids safe from the sun.

Why get a modular shade instead of an independent/stand-alone shade? Independent/stand-alone shades require a building permit and concrete footings which can increase costs well beyond even the price of the materials themselves. Modular attached shades do not require a building permit because they are considered part of the original play structure. Since most play structures have a strong foundation it is also not necessary to put in additional footings for support of the new shade material.
